This Privacy Notice explains how Fitzroy Emu LLC, dba WISEMed (“WISEMed” or “we”) collects, uses, shares, handles, secures, and processes information about Users of WISEMed’s website, mobile app, and related services (collectively, “Services”).
We may periodically update this Privacy Notice to ensure that it reflects WISEMed’s current data privacy practices. The Privacy Notice posted here always will be current, and we will notify Users of any material changes to the Privacy Notice via an email to the most recent email address on record with WISEMed.

We also collect automated log data such as Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, MAC addresses, browser type, mobile device type, operating system, metadata, Internet Service Provider name, duration of time spent on the site, and the date and time that the User accessed the Services.
If you access WISEMed’s Services via a Third-Party Institution (i.e., your employer subscribes to WISEMed), that Third-Party Institution may provide WISEMed with personal information that is necessary for WISEMed to deliver the Services to you. WISEMed will handle and process that personal information under the principles outlined in this Privacy Notice. The Third-Party Institution is solely responsible for the initial collection of this personal information and the transfer of this personal information to WISEMed.
WISEMed’s Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. WISEMed does not knowingly store or collect information from children under the age of 13.
If a User would like to review or request changes to information stored on the Services and is unable to do so via the website or mobile app, the User may email email@example.com.
This Privacy Notice does not apply to anonymized, de-identified, or aggregated information.

If a User’s subscription to the Services has been purchased by the User’s affiliated institution, WISEMed may provide that affiliated institution with all records and information related to the User, including but not limited to results on online performance assessments.
WISEMed takes commercially reasonable measures to protect User Information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include the use of encryption to protect personal information in transit, and the use of cloud storage providers that comply with industry standards.
Your California Privacy Rights
The California Shine the Light Law requires companies to disclose whether certain information shared with third parties is used for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. WISEMed does not share Users’ personal information with third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Nonetheless, if you are a California resident, you may request information about the disclosure of your personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rights Under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Under certain circumstances, if you enroll in a program that we offer in conjunction with a partnering educational institution, the disclosure of certain Personal Information that you provide to us, and/or information that we may create or receive from our partnering educational institutions that pertains to you, may be protected under FERPA, if applicable. You may also have specific rights related to accessing and/or updating your Personal Information when FERPA applies. WISEMed’s headquarters is in the United States and, regardless of where you use our Services or otherwise provide information to us, you understand and agree that your information may be transferred to, maintained, and processed by WISEMed and our service providers in the United States or other jurisdictions in which we or they operate. By providing personal information to the Services, you consent to this transfer. Please note that privacy laws, regulations, and standards in the jurisdictions in which your information may be maintained and processed may not be equivalent to the laws in your country of residence and such information may be subject to lawful access by U.S. or other foreign courts, law enforcement, and governmental authorities.
